What is NAD+, really?

NAD+ is a coenzyme your cells use to turn food into energy. Levels naturally decline with age, and NAD+ therapy is one way people choose to support them.

At YTH it is done in a clinic, by licensed clinicians who evaluate you first. NAD+ is administered as an in-office IV infusion or a subcutaneous injection, sourced from licensed U.S. compounding pharmacies and labeled with your name. NAD+ therapy is not FDA-approved to treat any condition, individual experiences vary, and your provider will talk you through what is and is not known before you start.

NAD+ FAQs

What is NAD+?

NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is a coenzyme found in every cell, involved in how your body converts food into usable energy. Levels naturally decline with age, which is why some people choose to explore NAD+ therapy.

What does NAD+ therapy actually do?

Patients typically come to us hoping to support energy, focus and recovery. Research is still developing and NAD+ is not FDA-approved to treat, cure or prevent any condition — so we will not promise a result. Your provider will walk you through what is known and what is not before you decide.

How is NAD+ given at YTH?

As an in-office IV infusion or a subcutaneous injection. Which one makes sense — and how often — is decided with your provider at your visit.

Is everyone a candidate?

No. NAD+ is not right for everyone. A licensed provider evaluates your history, medications and goals first, and will tell you honestly if it is not appropriate for you.

Is NAD+ covered by insurance?

No — NAD+ is self-pay, with transparent pricing reviewed at your free consultation. TRT and its related blood work are the treatments typically covered by most major insurance at YTH.

How long does a session take?

IV infusions are given slowly and the timing depends on your dose, so plan to be in the office for a while. Injections are much quicker. We will tell you what to expect when you book.

How will I feel during the infusion?

Some people notice sensations like flushing or an upset stomach if the drip runs too fast, which is why we go slowly and stay with you. Tell your clinician right away if anything feels off and we will adjust.
